Step 1: Export Contacts from iCloud
A. Via iCloud.com (vCard export)
Visit iCloud.com, and log in with your Apple ID.
Open Contacts.
Select individual contacts (hold Cmd on Mac or Ctrl on Windows to multi-select), or export all:
Click the gear icon → Select All Contacts.
Click the share/export icon, then choose Export vCard.
If multiple contacts were selected, they’re saved as a single
.vcffile containing each contact.
B. Directly from the Contacts App on Mac
To export selected contacts: Open Contacts → select contacts → File → Export → Export vCard → save
.vcffile.To export all contacts as an archive: Contacts → File → Export → Contacts Archive → save
.abbufile (only supported by Contacts app)
Alternatively, drag selected contacts into Numbers and export as CSV, Excel, or other formats.
Step 2. Import Contacts into Outlook
A. Importing vCard (.vcf) in Outlook (Mac)
Open Outlook for Mac.
Go to File → Import.
Select Contacts or vCards (.vcf), then select your
.vcffile and complete the import.
B. Importing CSV into Outlook (Windows or Web)
For Outlook Desktop (Windows):
Open Outlook → File → Open & Export → Import/Export.
Choose Import from another program or file → Comma Separated Values (CSV) → Next.
Select your
.csvfile → choose duplicate-handling option → map fields as needed → Finish.
For Outlook on the Web / Microsoft 365 (New Outlook):
Click the People (Contacts) icon.
From the ribbon, select Manage contacts → Import contacts.
Browse to and select your
.csvfile, then Import. Ensure your file uses UTF‑8 encoding for best results.
For Outlook on the web:
Browse for outlook.office365.com
Go to the People page.
Select Manage contacts → Export contacts to get a
.csvas needed.
